The Hindu : NATIONAL / KARNATAKA : LPG confusion: deadline extended
The deadline to furnish documents for rectification of your LPG connection — if it has been suspended by the Department of Food and Civil Supplies — has been extended to August 15 from August 4.
Revealing this to The Hindu , B.A. Harish Gowda, Principal Secretary, Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, said this would be the last chance for people to furnish documents for rectification.
“There will be no further extension,” he said. People can visit the nearest Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies office or the jurisdictional tahsildar and furnish the documents. They can also visithttp://ahara.kar.nic.in and upload their electricity bill with RR number, gas agency bill with consumer number and ration card (if they have), he said.
The department has suspended 17.5 lakh connections in cases of non-submission of RR number; no RR for LPG connection; mismatch of RR number with LPG connection and LPG number with commercial RR number. This has created confusion and inconvenience to consumers.
